HAEMATOCON 2025, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Hematology Group (UPHG), successfully hosted the 66th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (ISHBT) in Lucknow from 6–9 November 2025. The conference was centered on the theme “Innovations in Hematology: Shaping the Future of Diagnosis and Treatment” and brought together leading hematologists, researchers, laboratory specialists, transfusion medicine experts, nurses, and postgraduate trainees from across India and abroad.

The scientific program featured state-of-the-art lectures, symposia, panel discussions, workshops, oral and poster presentations covering diverse areas of hematology, including malignant and benign hematological disorders, stem cell transplantation, transfusion medicine, hemoglobinopathies, coagulation disorders, CAR-T therapy, pediatric hematology, and laboratory diagnostics. Interactive “Meet the Professor” sessions, national hematology quizzes, and focused workshops provided valuable opportunities for learning and professional development.

A major strength of the conference was the participation of eminent national and international faculty members, fostering academic exchange and collaborative discussions on emerging diagnostic technologies, personalized therapies, and future directions in hematology. The event also highlighted the growing role of multidisciplinary care and translational research in improving patient outcomes.

The conference was meticulously organized under the leadership of Prof A.K Tripathi & Prof Soniya Nityanand as Patrons, Prof. Vijai Tilak (Organizing Chairperson) and Prof. S. P. Verma (Organizing Secretary), Prof Rashmi Kushwaha, Prof Namrata Awasthi and Dr Anshul Gupta as joint organising secretaries, supported by an active organizing and scientific committee. UPHG's successful hosting of this prestigious national conference marked an important milestone in its mission to promote excellence in hematology education, research, and patient care.
